Cleaning built around the material
Patios can contain concrete paving, natural stone, porcelain, block paving, jointing compounds, repairs and coatings. These materials should not be assumed to tolerate the same pressure or treatment.
Martin will consider what the surface is, how stable it appears, the type of staining and what sits around it before proposing a method.
Organic growth and weathering
Moss, algae, lichen, soil and general atmospheric dirt can build up over time. A suitable cleaning or treatment plan depends on the growth, the surface and the desired finish. Some marks may require separate assessment and may not be fully removable.
Preparing for an enquiry
- Include a photograph from each end of the patio.
- Show the closest route from the road or side access.
- Identify raised beds, drains, doors, delicate planting and furniture.
- Tell Martin whether an outside water supply is available.
